I dearest Charlie Utsch's family unit run marina. Probably my favorite anywhere. Merely important: Go to twenty-four hours marker "xvi" then turn into and run along the bulkhead until you get to the Dutch Windmill or you volition stray into ii foot waters!!! Convenient to The Lobster Firm and Lucky Basic restaurants. The Utsches volition spoil you with service. Very clean restrooms.

On entry, hug the Utsch'southward marina wall. Water is a flake thin away from it. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms and great laundry facility, nearby Westward Marine and several boating stores. Good protection from traffic on the channel. A 1.2 mile walk to downtown Cape May, worth the trip, groceries there. Cape May is worth the terminate. Utsch's is the identify I would practise information technology.

Came in unexpected on one engine. Nancy, Charlie, Wayne and anybody else there went the extra mile! From the thoughtful welcome gift to the super overnice bath & laundry edifice and even the offering of a sweet bun in the morning made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Utsch'southward, I capeesh you lot! I won't go past Greatcoat May e'er over again without stopping!

Pros: Good location off the Cape May Canal, Well-stocked marine store. Helpful dockhand. Floating docks.
Cons: Docks and walkways are old. Marina is surrounded by a junky old boatyard. Fuel dock is not well laid out. Carts are rusty and heavy. Bathrooms and laundry are a long walk. Other staff not besides friendly.
Conclusion: Sometimes "family-endemic" is code for poorly maintained and underinvested. You lot can do better in Cape May.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

This used to be the become-to place, but their prices accept gone through the roof. Transient rate is now $2.50/ft, and their diesel price is currently 3.29/gal. The upper end of the prices while heading back n from Florida. Information technology is likely that this volition not be the go-to stop anymore.

Excellent staff got our stay off to a great get-go. Good services here and we were able to become parts directly from the ship store and repairs washed. Cape May was a surprisingly interesting destination. Tin't say enough nigh the staff at the marina

A good identify with particularly helpful staff for docking likewise as in the part; great ships store. The docks are floating. H2o a bit skinny at depression tide - you must dock bow in because low tide tin sometimes put all the bows in the mud.
We were there for Isaias storm and fortunately in a slip then we could cantankerous-tie in all directions.

We developed engine trouble due to a disrepair hose so we were towed to Utsch'southward past Boat Us, and we are glad they took the states there. The staff was super friendly and the facilities were great. We as well walked to Lucky Bones for dinner and information technology was AWESOME! They really know how to do outside dining due to Covid.

Everybody stops hither, it's very popular. It's a family run business concern since 1950 and they've ever been helpful in docking. The approach can be shallow if you get too shut to the bounding main wall, exist sure to stay off by xxx ft for vi.0 MLW. Be sure to tell them your draft since some of the slips are shallow. They take commercial grade washers and dryers. The WiFi is spotty and will overload with when everybody is using it. The cellphone signal is fantabulous.

The folks here are great; they guided us into the marina and away from the shoal that we were virtually to enter. They take a 'family' affect that ever makes a business merely a fleck nicer. Still, there are some negatives:
The wifi is poor. Yous MUST pull into the slip bow first, meaning that if you lot come and get from your swim platform, you volition have to detect a different way, since the finger piers are only almost twoscore feet long. They have some wooden platforms so you tin can disembark midship, simply they weren't tall enough for my boat. Information technology was difficult!
The h2o spigot is located at the bulkhead. Our l foot hose was about ten feet short of our water inlet. Fortunately, I had an extra l human foot hose on lath. This is the beginning time I had to go the extra hose out of storage.
Even with these negatives, we'll stay here again (unless they won't permit u.s. in because of this review).

This review is somewhat delayed - only at present having made information technology all the manner to Canada, this is i of the marinas we still expect back fondly upon. The NEW bathrooms are Nifty! A real game changer in the marina globe. The location is ideal, staff are friendly and docks adequate. Approach can exist a flake tricky, just staff is swell over VHF with didactics.

I love the Utsch family touch. From the welcome basket with bootleg biscuits and vino to local information, great fuel prices and very reasonable dock rates, clean bathrooms and 2 of my favorite restaurants, The Lobster Business firm and Lucky Basic right adjacent door. Tony marine shop steps away, but it'south when you need mechanics....there is no finer resource on the E Coast and then Charlie Utsch. Call him and if you lot can't make it all the way to Cape May he will send out the best people to your location!!! He is unbelievable!!! A true family-run total-service working marina.

Basic Marina with swell people. Mind to their instructions to enter their harbor. Best eating house on Bailiwick of jersey Shore, The Lobster House. Walk through gravel parking lot early and insist on dining in the restaurant. You lot can wait aboard the sailboat or in the oyster bar.
